Of course, there are plenty of sterotypically Texan things to experience here (cattledrives, rodeos, honkeytonks), but there are also world class cultural venues and events that people may not associate with Texas at first glance. In short, the Dallas and Fort Worth are full of surprises. Although these two cities have an ongoing rivalry, each one offers a wide variety of things to see and do. In general, Dallas has more of a big city feel to it, with its collection of skyscrapers and impressive architecture.
